Winter is fast approaching here in Australia and while we've had mostly sunny days this autumn there are still a few big muddy puddles around that are just way too inviting when you're an almost 2 year old with a keen sense of adventure.

Getting outdoors and exploring nature is incredibly important to our family. Not only because we believe it's one of the best ways for our kids to learn but also because we would all (especially the cowboys) go absolutely stir crazy if we spent all our time cooped up indoors!

This is why I was so glad to have found out about "Splash Suits" right on the eve of their first launch and just in time for winter.

What is is a Splash Suit?

The best parts for me as a Mama?

I simply pulled the Splash Suit over the clothes my little cowboy was already wearing. I didn't have to worry about him getting cold, wet or his clothes dirty while we were out exploring AND when we got home I stripped the suit off, chucked it straight in the laundry and he was completely clean and dry underneath, ready to take a nap after all the splashing!

The best part for him as a kid?

He got to dress up as a rad, blue shark for the day- complete with fin on the hood! Plus he could run, stomp, jump, roll and dive into as many puddles as he wants!

Splash suits are completely genius and I'm actually dreading winter much less now that I know we will be able to play and explore outside without getting drenched and dirty.

They are lightweight like a said earlier so could very easily also be used in a bit warmer weather for activities that make me cringe thinking of the mess for example finger painting, ice cream eating, water play, etc!
